Award: Frank Zurlino Publication Prize, Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud Cologne/Germany

The Friends of the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum and Museum Ludwig e. V., hereinafter referred to as freunde, and the editorial team of the Wallraf-Richartz-Jahrbuch, published in Cologne, are now accepting submissions for the annual Frank Zurlino Publication Prize for early career scholars of art history as well as art technology under the age of 35 (on the date of submission).ÌýThe prize will be awarded for the second time in 2027 to a previously unpublished research paper on the topics covered by the yearbook that impresses the judging panel with its originality and scholarly rigor.
The Frank Zurlino Publication Prize consists of a cash award of €3,000 in addition to the publication of the winning paper in the Wallraf-Richartz-Jahrbuch, Volume 88 (2027).
The winner will also be invited to give a public talk on the award-winning topic in the lecture series Kunstbewusst organised by the freunde.

Freelance Art History Educator / Museum Collection Guide, Independent European Art History Travel-Learning Project
Description of role & details: An independent 60-day European art-history travel-learning project is seeking Courtauld students, alumni and researchers to contribute specialist one-to-one teaching for a highly engaged adult learner. Contributors may offer an in-person session in a museum, gallery, church or historic site in a city they know well, and/or one to three remote thematic seminars.
Each contribution should grow from the educator’s own research interests or expertise and connect specific objects, collections or sites to a wider European art-historical framework, broadly from c.1500 to the twentieth century. Topics may include Renaissance and Baroque art, Dutch and Flemish art, eighteenth- and nineteenth-century art, modernism, or related fields.
Applicants should have strong subject knowledge, communicate research clearly to a non-specialist adult learner, and be reliable. Chinese-speaking contributors are strongly preferred, although English-language proposals are welcome. Applicants may be based anywhere in Europe, and remote proposals are also welcome.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, dynamic team working closely with Shezad Dawood, and the Studio Director and the Head of Operations to support various aspects of curatorial and development work for the studio.
For this paid internship the candidate will be expected to support the studio team with research, archiving, writing applications, editing and proofreading across registers; updating websites, booking international travel.
This is a fixed-term 3 months contract, with a potential opportunity to be extended into a permanent part-time position. The studio is based in Hackney Wick, London.
