Kindred Studios is inviting curatorial proposals for a new programme of exhibitions in our 275 sqm street-facing gallery at The Gramophone Works, North Kensington.

We are looking for curators to develop exhibitions featuring work by artists from our large Kindred artist cohort— a vibrant network of around 500 artists working across a wide range of disciplines.

The selected curator will take the lead in developing and delivering the exhibition, working directly with Kindred Studios artists. The Kindred Team will be on hand to support the process, including practical installation support, promotion through our channels and support around the exhibition opening.

The selected curator will receive a £1,250 curatorial fee. Exhibition production costs will be covered separately by Kindred Studios, subject to an agreed budget. We particularly welcome proposals from emerging and early-career curators looking to develop ambitious exhibitions within a supportive artist-led environment.

We are currently looking for a curator to develop and deliver our next exhibition in November 2026. We will also keep strong proposals for consideration as we develop our 2027 exhibition programme, so we encourage you to apply even if you are not available this November.

The Friends of the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum and Museum Ludwig e. V., hereinafter referred to as freunde, and the editorial team of the Wallraf-Richartz-Jahrbuch, published in Cologne, are now accepting submissions for the annual Frank Zurlino Publication Prize for early career scholars of art history as well as art technology under the age of 35 (on the date of submission). The prize will be awarded for the second time in 2027 to a previously unpublished research paper on the topics covered by the yearbook that impresses the judging panel with its originality and scholarly rigor.

The Frank Zurlino Publication Prize consists of a cash award of €3,000 in addition to the publication of the winning paper in the Wallraf-Richartz-Jahrbuch, Volume 88 (2027).

The winner will also be invited to give a public talk on the award-winning topic in the lecture series Kunstbewusst organised by the freunde.

We are seeking a passionate wall painting conservator to join our MA in Conservation of Wall Paintings team. The postholder will supervise six third-year postgraduate students in the MA Conservation of Wall Paintings for a six-week on-site fieldwork at Longthorpe Tower, Peterborough from 18 January 2027 Monday to 26 February 2027. You are expected to stay in Peterborough Monday-Friday for the full six-week period. Accommodation and daily stipend for the six-week period will be provided. Other supervision throughout the contract period will be carried out either remotely or held at 91Ó°ÊÓ Institute at the Somerset House, Strand, London.

The postholder is expected to: 

• To provide close guidance and supervision of students in the following conservation activities: documentation, diagnostic investigations, treatment trials and interventions.
• To ensure that imaging, documentation and student work on site is completed to agreed standards and in accordance with health and safety protocols;
• To work closely with Courtauld staff and partners at the site;
• To participate in preparations for fieldwork including risk assessment and timetable and equipment planning; the formative and summative assessment of students.
• To support marketing and fundraising activity by supplying relevant updates during the project;
• To prepare a formal report of the project for 91Ó°ÊÓ and stakeholders.
This role is to partially cover the duties of a faculty at the Department who is on sabbatical leave. This role is expected to spend 60% of the time in teaching, 20% in central administrative duties and 20% in scholarship activities.
